While I’m sure that the birds think that every year is the Year Of The Bird, in 2018 the National Audubon Society, National Geographic, BirdLife International, and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology have joined together in more than just a yearlong celebration of birds, but campaign to build awareness of new and serious threats to birds and their habitat.
How can YOU participate? Simple actions can have big impacts. Grow bird-friendly plants, participate in citizen science, become a land steward or climate activist, consider a monthly donation to support our conservation mission or volunteer with your local Audubon Center or chapter and help us protect birds and the places they need. Click on the link: Count Me In to receive monthly notifications on how to participate.
Remember you are among our most effective ambassadors in conserving and advocating for our natural world. We need you to stand up for birds, their habitats, and our world.
