It seems that December is always a time of reflection. What have we accomplished this past year and where are we going in the future? It has been a tumultuous year on the political front, not to mention the natural disasters here and around the world. All of this is cause for pause. Sometimes it feels like we have no control over what it is happening around us. But there are things that we can do, that we have control over. The short list is: be kind to one another, do your part to help the environment as every little bit helps and stand up for what you think is right and good in this world.
Let’s carry this thought into the new year… ”Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature — the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.”
― Rachel Carson, Silent Spring
We have a great line up for our upcoming monthly programs and I hope to see you all in the New Year! Happy Holidays!
