Dear Columbus Audubon friends:
I think we are all waiting with baited breath for spring. I know that I’m seeing some new greenness popping up out of the soil. The fresh new day is met with the joyful song of birds in my yard. So spring can’t be far off, right?
March is one of those months that likes to tease us, warm one day and a blizzard the next. So as we dream of warm weather it is not to early to be thinking about what we can plant in our gardens to help the birds. Audubon has a fantastic new database that will help you learn what plants attract and are good for what birds by region.
“Bring birds to your home today by growing native plants. With Audubon’s Native Plant Database, you can find the best plants for the birds in your area. Growing bird-friendly plants will attract and protect the birds you love while making your space beautiful, easy to care for, and better for the environment.
