You may have already heard that 2018 is officially the Year of the Bird, but what does that mean? The National Audubon Society and National Geographic have teamed up to spread awareness of the plight of birds across the world. This year, 2018, marks 100 years since the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and we feel it is important to celebrate this important bird milestone. This month as part of Year of the Bird, The National Audubon Society and National Geographic are asking you to recommit yourself to saving our feathered friends by taking a pledge on the new Year of the Bird website. The Year of the Bird will be an expansive 12 months of science and storytelling to highlight all the work being done to conserve these important animals in such a volatile climate. We hope you will go to the Year of the Bird website right now and pledge to make 2018 the best bird year ever! How will you bird your world?
